Foundation Acting Course

7 weeks: March 27 – May 13, 2017 (no calls on Good Friday or Easter Monday)

Intensive daytime: 10.00 am-5.00 pm Monday-Friday

Cost: £2590 (no VAT to add)

This is a course for anyone. It is superb preparation for a person who wants to train as an actor, but an astonishing experience for someone who simply wants a sustained period of time living as a student professional actor. The exercises that actors do, everyone should do. They are life changing.

THERE IS NO AUDITION FOR THIS COURSE; just enrol below.

Poor School shakespeare

There will be classes in Movement, Voice and Dance. Singing is a huge part of all the acting training we do and there will be rehearsals throughout the seven weeks leading to a showing. Verse will be a weekly class leading to a showing. A contemporary text will be rehearsed for the first half of the course and there will be a showing, followed by crits (an assessment of work). In the final weeks a modern classic will be worked on and shown at the end. There will also be classes in Stage Fighting and Shakespeare, with the latter leading to a showing. Final crits will end the course.

Please refer to the details of the full time training, staff. The Foundation Course will replicate many aspects of an early term of the training.
